April 1 Update on our New Church

We are currently doing the wiring, heat and air, and building the Pulpit and baptistery area. We are very close to starting the brick and stone work. We will have two drive through's, one at each of the two wings. We need your prayer's and support as we lean heavily on the Lord's help financially to see us through this project. With the Lord's help hopefully we will have our 100th. Aniversary in the new building which will be June of 2015. Praise the Lord for using Emory Heights in adding many souls to his Kingdom. Several Churches were started through our ministry and many preachers have wonderfully carried out the work of the preaching of the gospel. We are a church that supports Missionary's to spread the gospel to people from afar. If you would like to support this ministry you may send donations to Emory Heights Missionary Baptist Church PO Box 894. We will have a presentation of our 100 years of ministry the first Sunday of June 2015. Please make plans to attend!

The New Church in Grey Brick and Stone.

We are viewing different buildings and houses trying to decide on color. If anyone is interested in going on a road trip to look at ideas let us know. We plan on going Saturday the 22 to grand vista Rockwood and crossville. If you see a building with brick or brick/stone that catches your eye let us know and we will put it on our viewing list. We want your opinion on color also, let us know what you like. So far most of the comments are #1 Grey, #2 Walnut Creek (brown) and#3 a deep red with red or black mortar. Here is a video of it in grey. I cannot upload it with good quality but it will give you an idea.

Feburary 2014 update on New Church

We are slowly getting the building in the dry. It is too early to give a date on when we will get it finished. Can't wait to see it finished and all the land around it landscaped. We are fighting budget problems but I believe The Lord will sees us through. We had 264 Sunday in our old church with the help of Ronnie Stockton's Grandma and family joining us. We celebrate our 100th. Anniversary June 2015 and with the Lord's help we will have a great homecoming in the new church. PRAY, PRAY for our endeavors and God bless each of you who have contributed to the work. God bless and visit us soon!

Janurary 3 2014 New Church Update

We are close to putting sheeting on the roof to get it in the dry. We will have a crew from Morgan Regional helping with the sheeting. Help on the roof has been very limited but we are making progress. Pray that no one gets hurt because it is very steep and dangerous. The Church will seat under 300 with audio video enhancements. It will have 6 large to average Sunday School Class Rooms and one very large Class room or conference room. A fellowship hall, kitchen, large foyer, 4 bathrooms and 5 other rooms to be determined. It will have a large foyer area with nursery and video for seeing the service. There will be a front entrance porch and two side drive thrus. Parking will be on all sides of the building with 7 entrances and exits. It will be brick/stone design with possible siding for the gables. It will be program temperature control and handicap capability. We still have room in the back for a ball field. Can't wait to start using it. We still need volunteer help and hopefully soon we will be off the roof and more will be able to help. We work Monday through Friday 8 to 4:30. We appreciate all the volunteers that have contributed. I know the Lord will bless you and I pray that many lives will be saved and serve the Lord.

Brick and stone Design for the Church

This is a scaled version animation of what the new church will look like. I am limited on the color of brick and stone i can use in the video file but I'm sure the Church will pick out a design that we will all like. I'm excited to see the progress that has been made and trust that the Lord will see us through.

New Church building update September 27, 2013

Progress update 9/27/2013

Thanks to all who contributed to this weeks success. We have all the exterior walls finished and most of the classrooms finished. We will be working on Saturday the 28th. 8:30 till 11:30 if anyone wishes to help to finish up the classrooms and clean up some. The gate needs some oiling and maintenance if any one has experience or know how. It is just to hard to open and close. I will try to update picture progress each week. Thanks to the women who have contributed to the drinks and food. God bless all of you who have helped.

Progress Update 9/20/2013

Making progress on the framing. We will be framing the walls with volunteer help Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM till 4:30 P.M. and some Saturday's. You don't have to have a lot of skill to help and every hand is needful. We are using nail guns for most of the nailing but the walls get heavy to lift. Hopefully we will get the Walls finished in a couple of weeks. All help is appreciated and the ladies of the church are providing food and drinks. We are actually enjoying the work and fellowship so please try to stop by even if it is for an hour or so. Most of the help is from retired folk who love the Lord and willing to serve God. Thank all who help.

We will be getting our building permit next week, Loan has been approved and work will get started real soon. Contractor has license and insurance in place to begin work. Hopefully we will be finished in approximately 7 months. Pray that we will be successful and no one gets hurt. Much of our success depends on getting volunteer help from area Christian workers who volunteer to do God's work. Pray! Pray! Pray! And may God have all the Glory and Praise.

New Update: September 7, 2013

We will start work Tuesday September 10, 2013 building and erecting walls. We will be working on a regular schedule of Monday through Friday beginning at 8:00 AM. We will be working some Saturday's when we can get enough help. We will be using volunteer help to accomplish this building project. If you can volunteer some hours or days please come for we need you. You can post here on this site or let someone from the Church know when you can work and we will make preparations. We are stepping out on faith and trusting that the Lord will take care of all our needs. Please Pray for us that God will watch over and protect and guide us. God bless and spread the word!

A Clear Presentation Of The Gospel

Man Has Sinned
Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
James 2:10: “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
Sin Has Punishment:
Romans 5:12: “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”
Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Jesus Is the Only Way of Salvation:
John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 14:6: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Romans 5:8: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Salvation—Believe in the Heart, Confess with the Mouth:
Romans 10:9: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:13: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
I John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
